Here are the answers to the quiz over 1967 you have just completed (I hope!). :) Check over your answers to see how well you did!
1. b. Brian Epstien - He died supposedly of 'unknown causes', but the popular belief is that he commited suicide by taking too many sleeping pills.
2. a. "The great soul" - Thought highly of himself, huh? :)
3. "Sexy Sadie" - If you take out the words "Sexy Sadie" and out "Maharishi" in, it fits. The song itself talks about how he 'made a fool of everyone' and other things like that.
4. b. "Release Me" - Englebert Humperdinck - Sad that a guy with that name kept the Beatles off the number one spot! :) Oh well.
5."When I'm Sixty-Four" - A song Paul wrote back before 'they was fab'.
6. "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" - These songs would've fit in nicely with the Sgt. Pepper theme, but a single was needed.
7. a. Kellogg's Corn Flakes - On some Beatle documentaries I've seen, the commercial is shown. "Good morning" is said more than once - and haven't you heard that the Beatles ate basically nothing but cornflakes for breakfast during the touring days? Maybe that inspired John. :)
8. Julian'd drawing of 'Lucy in the Sky' - Julian came home one day with a drawing he had done of a classmate Lucy. John was then inspired by that picture, so he claims.
9. a. "She Loves You" - I think it was Paul (or was it George) that said that before the broadcast, John was singing "she loves you" over and over. And many people argue that it was Paul that sang that at the end of the song, but I know it's not. Listen closely at the voice - it sounds like John's. And on the 8-video release of the Anthologies, it shows John singing that part.
10. b. "I Am The Walrus" - Seems to me that John is inspired by many things.
Did pretty well, huh? Let me know your great score - and I'll post it on the main trivia page!

Please DO NOT take, use, steal, etc., etc. any part of this information I have here. I've worked hard to gather facts for this quiz, as all my other ones. There is a mini-bibliography on the main trivia page if you want to do some more quizzes or research on your own. Thank you!
